Sessions in the white villages start from €279, with one to two hours at roughly €279–€450 depending on length and the number of edited photos. The mountain roads are narrow and slow, so a session normally covers one village properly, or two that sit close together like Zahara de la Sierra and Grazalema. Setenil and Arcos are far enough apart to need separate sessions.

Setenil de las Bodegas has streets tunnelled under an overhanging slab of rock, with Cuevas del Sol and Cuevas de la Sombra giving opposite light. Zahara de la Sierra stands under a Nasrid tower above a turquoise reservoir, best framed from the Puerto de las Palomas road. Grazalema mixes grey stone and white walls under the sierra, Olvera stacks church and castle on one crag, and Arcos de la Frontera has a cliff-edge mirador.

Whitewash burns out under a high sun, so the villages photograph best in the first two hours after sunrise or the last two before sunset, when the lime turns cream and the streets throw long shadows. Spring and autumn are the seasons; summer afternoons inland are brutally hot. Grazalema is the wettest place in Spain, and its winter mist and low cloud are a look worth planning for rather than avoiding.

A car is effectively required: the villages sit twenty to forty minutes apart on winding mountain roads, and bus links between them are thin. Parking is at the edge of each old town and fills on weekends and holidays, with the historic centres either pedestrian or too narrow to drive. Setenil in particular has very tight lanes.
