Photographers in Granada

Granada's defining frame is taken from the Mirador de San Nicolás: the Alhambra along the opposite ridge, the Sierra Nevada still snow-capped behind it into May, and the sun going down over your subjects' shoulders. It is the reason photographers here work at dusk. The Albaicín below is a hillside of white houses, cypress trees and cobbled switchbacks; Sacromonte adds cave dwellings and a wilder view. The Alhambra's own courtyards require a timed ticket, which any local photographer will tell you to book weeks ahead.
