Gothic Quarter — Carrer del Bisbe

The Pont del Bisbe is the single most photographed corner of the old town: a carved stone footbridge thrown between two buildings across a lane barely four metres wide. Shot from below and centred, it frames a subject cleanly with nothing modern in view.

This is one of the rare places that works at midday — the lane is deep enough that direct sun only reaches the bridge itself, leaving the street in even shade and putting a bright band across the stonework above.

The surrounding streets — Carrer del Paradís, Plaça Sant Felip Neri, the cathedral cloister with its geese — give another half hour of frames without moving more than two hundred metres.
