Sessions at Cabo de Gata start from €279, with one to two hours at roughly €279–€450 depending on length and how many edited photos are included. The park is large and the roads between beaches are slow, so a session normally covers one or two spots — the cape and Mónsul, say, or Rodalquilar and Las Negras — rather than the whole coast.

The Arrecife de las Sirenas, a line of volcanic dykes below the cape lighthouse, is the signature frame. Playa de Mónsul has a huge weathered lava dome on pale sand, and Los Genoveses a wide dune-backed bay near San José. Rodalquilar sets an abandoned gold works against orange badlands, and Playa de los Muertos is a pale pebble beach below a steep path. Las Negras adds a small dark-stone fishing village.

There is essentially no shade in the park, so sessions run at sunrise or in the last two hours of light, when the volcanic rock turns orange and the sea goes deep blue. Spring puts flowers across the badlands and keeps temperatures reasonable; October gives warm water without crowds. July and August are hot, bright and busy, and midday light flattens the whole landscape.

Outside the summer peak you can usually drive to the cape lighthouse, Mónsul and Los Genoveses on unpaved park roads. In high season access is managed: parking is capped and a shuttle bus runs to the main beaches, with the barrier closing once the car parks fill. Playa de los Muertos always means a steep fifteen-minute walk down from the road. Check the current rules and shuttle timetable for your dates.

For peak wedding season (May through October), we strongly recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for Saturday weddings at popular venues. Spain's top wedding photographers often have their prime summer dates booked a full year ahead, particularly in sought-after regions like the Costa del Sol, Toledo, and La Rioja. For off-season weddings (November through April), you'll have more flexibility and may find availability with 2-3 months notice. Weekday weddings also tend to have better photographer availability year-round. Most destination wedding couples book 8-12 hours of photography coverage, which captures the complete story from getting-ready preparations through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, first dance, and party. For more intimate weddings (under 30 guests) or shorter celebrations, 6 hours of coverage may be sufficient to capture all the key moments. Full-day packages of up to 16 hours are available for extended celebrations that start with morning preparations and continue through a late-night party or after-party.
