Most couples sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, which gives you enough time to visit 2-3 locations and capture a wide variety of natural, relaxed poses and candid moments together. During this time, your photographer will guide you through different backdrops — perhaps starting at a scenic viewpoint, moving to a charming side street, and finishing at a waterfront or garden. The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — choose complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid colors and muted tones (navy, cream, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Spain's warm-toned architecture and lush green landscapes. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, or neon colors that can distract from you as a couple. Comfortable shoes are essential, especially in Madrid and Barcelona where cobblestone streets and hillside viewpoints are common. Bring a second outfit if you'd like variety — many couples change halfway through longer sessions. Golden hour — the hour after sunrise or before sunset — provides the most flattering, warm, romantic light and is universally recommended by professional photographers. In Spain, sunset times range from around 5:30pm in winter to 9:00pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions in Madrid and Barcelona are especially popular because the westward-facing viewpoints catch the light over the city rooftops beautifully. Sunrise shoots are quieter and give you famous landmarks nearly to yourselves, which is ideal for Toledo or heavily touristed areas. Photoshoots here start from €310, and one to two hours works out at roughly €310–€450 depending on duration and the number of edited photos. Nerja and Frigiliana are six kilometres apart, so covering both in one session means allowing for the drive; many couples instead take the Balcón de Europa and a beach in one session and keep the village for another.

The Balcón de Europa is the obvious one: a palm-lined promenade on an old fortress terrace, with Calahonda beach and its fishing boats below. Frigiliana's Barribarto quarter has white stepped lanes, blue pots and ceramic panels in the walls. The Maro cliffs give pines above turquoise coves, the Águila aqueduct adds four tiers of nineteenth-century arches, and Burriana is the wide, easy family beach.

Early morning is best for both towns: the Balcón de Europa is empty before nine and Frigiliana's lanes are still shaded and quiet before the day-trip coaches. Late afternoon gives warm light on the cliffs and on Burriana. The season is long, with mild, clear winters that suit outdoor sessions from October to May; August is hot and busy, so shoot at the edges of the day.
