Get directionsAcross the bridge from the newer town, Ronda's old quarter is quiet in a way the viewpoints are not: whitewashed walls, wrought-iron balconies, the Palacio de Mondragón, and lanes that hold shade through the middle of the day.
On the other side, the Alameda del Tajo is a formal nineteenth-century promenade that ends at a balcony on the cliff edge, looking out over the Serranía. It is the easy version of the Puente Nuevo view — no steep path, railings throughout, and the same valley.
The two together give a session both registers: enclosed and intimate in the old lanes, then wide open with a hundred kilometres of Andalusia behind you.

Tips
Ronda is a day-trip town — coaches arrive late morning and leave mid-afternoon. Before ten and after five it is a different, much emptier place.
