July and August are hot, bright and busy, and midday light flattens the whole landscape.

Outside the summer peak you can usually drive to the cape lighthouse, Mónsul and Los Genoveses on unpaved park roads. In high season access is managed: parking is capped and a shuttle bus runs to the main beaches, with the barrier closing once the car parks fill.
