The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — choose complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid colors and muted tones (navy, cream, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Spain's warm-toned architecture and lush green landscapes. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, or neon colors that can distract from you as a couple. Comfortable shoes are essential, especially in Madrid and Barcelona where cobblestone streets and hillside viewpoints are common. Bring a second outfit if you'd like variety — many couples change halfway through longer sessions. Golden hour — the hour after sunrise or before sunset — provides the most flattering, warm, romantic light and is universally recommended by professional photographers. In Spain, sunset times range from around 5:30pm in winter to 9:00pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions in Madrid and Barcelona are especially popular because the westward-facing viewpoints catch the light over the city rooftops beautifully. Sunrise shoots are quieter and give you famous landmarks nearly to yourselves, which is ideal for Toledo or heavily touristed areas. Professional photoshoots in Ibiza start from €345. The price depends on the duration and the number of edited photos included. The island is small but the drive from the old town to the west-coast sunset beaches is real, so most sessions stay on one side rather than crossing.

Dalt Vila, the fortified old town, climbs above the port in sandstone ramparts and stepped lanes, with the whole harbour laid out from the top. On the west coast, Cala Comte and Cala Bassa give the sunsets people travel for, and Cala d'Hort looks straight at the rock of Es Vedrà. Inland there are white chapels, dry-stone walls and almond groves.

Two windows. Morning belongs to Dalt Vila, quiet even in season, with soft light held in the lanes. The last hour before sunset belongs to the west coast, and that is when most couple sessions are booked. Peak July and August are busy from midday onwards and the heat is heavy; May, June and September photograph better in every respect.
