The classic Barcelona photo spots are Park Güell with its mosaic terraces, the medieval lanes of the Gothic Quarter, the Sagrada Família as a backdrop, Passeig de Gràcia with Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, Barceloneta Beach, and the Bunkers del Carmel viewpoint for a panorama over the whole city.

Golden hour — just after sunrise or before sunset — gives Barcelona's stone and mosaic surfaces their warmest glow. Early morning is also the only quiet time in the Gothic Quarter and around Park Güell; by mid-morning in summer the crowds and harsh overhead light arrive.
