Two things to plan around: most photographers cross from Ibiza by ferry, so fix the meeting point and allow for the crossing when you agree a time, and the island is very quiet outside May to October, when many places close.

Ses Illetes and the Trucadors sandbar at the northern tip, where the water is at its clearest and a strip of sand has sea on both sides. Cap de Barbaria for the opposite mood: a bare limestone plateau, a straight road and a lighthouse on the cliff edge.
