A typical one- to two-hour session runs roughly €279 to €450, depending on the duration, the number of edited photos included and how many spots you cover — from a short walk along the promenade to a longer route taking in the old town and two or three beaches.

The church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla on its rock above the sea is the image Sitges is known for. Around it are the Passeig de la Ribera promenade with its palms and iron lamps, the whitewashed lanes of the old town, Platja de Sant Sebastià on the quieter side of the church, and the terrace beside the Palau Maricel.

Late afternoon is when Sitges is at its best: the sea turns metallic, the church catches warm light from the west and the day-trippers from Barcelona start heading home. Early morning gives you empty lanes in the old town. July and August are busy on the beaches at every hour, so May, June and September photograph far more calmly.

Most people book the city and the coast as two separate sessions on different days, and your photographer can advise on the timing.
