Of the six, an hour costs least in the three Andalusian cities: typically €395 in Seville and €400 in Málaga and Granada. Among the mainland cities, Barcelona is the dearest at €460. In Málaga, €520 is both the lowest and the typical price for two hours.
Mallorca is the exception. The island's cheapest package, at €345, is a 45-minute session: a full hour starts at €520, the typical one costs €575, and two hours begin at €600. Only four photographers list packages there, so for a Saturday in June, book early.
The choice is small everywhere: six photographers in Granada, eight in Madrid, Seville and Málaga, nine in Barcelona, 28 in the whole country. For Toledo, Sitges, Ibiza, Tenerife and the other places on the site, the catalogue shows who covers them.
What moves the price
The number of edited photos. The biggest difference between two packages of the same length, and the one most people skim. One-hour packages in Spain run from €345 to €905, and most of that spread is the gallery: a small, carefully edited set at one end, a much fuller one at the other. Compare photo counts before prices.
Length. An hour is one place done properly. Two hours is two places and the walk between them, flat in Madrid and uphill in Granada's Albaicín, and roughly doubles the gallery, from about 32 photos to about 60.
The region. On the mainland it moves the price less than you would think: four of the five mainland cities in the table start at €345, and Granada at €370. Mallorca is where it shows, with a full hour from €520 and long drives.
The occasion. Couples, families and proposals book by the hour. Weddings and elopements are priced as half or full days: a half day from €690, typically €920 for about 200 photos; a full day from €1,840 to €3,680, typically €1,980 for about 500.
Season and sunrise. A package costs the same on a Tuesday in November as on a Saturday in June, at sunrise or at sunset. What changes is availability: Saturdays in May, June and September go first, and Holy Week and the April Fair fill Seville. In July and August, afternoons in Seville and Granada are too hot for relaxed photos, so sessions move to the ends of the day. A June sunrise, around 6:20 in Barcelona and 7:00 in Seville, is when Seville's Plaza de España and the Gothic Quarter are still empty.
Travel. A day trip puts the drive inside your booking: Montserrat or Sitges from Barcelona, Toledo or Segovia from Madrid, Ronda or Nerja from Málaga, Deià or Cap de Formentor on Mallorca. That usually means a half-day package rather than an hour.
Group size. Up to eight people, the price does not move. From nine up, most packages — and Quick Booking — cost 50% more.
Tickets. Some of Spain's best backdrops charge entry, and no package includes it. Park Güell's Monumental Zone and the Alhambra have timed entry, the Alhambra with a fixed half-hour slot for the Nasrid Palaces, and your photographer needs a ticket too.
