Most visitors arrive from Málaga or the coast for the day, so the usual booking is a shorter session built around the bridge and the old Moorish quarter behind it.

The Puente Nuevo over its 120-metre gorge is the one nothing else in Spain matches. Around it: the Mirador de Aldehuela right beside the bridge, the Jardines de Cuenca on the opposite wall, the balcony of the Alameda del Tajo over open country, the Moorish quarter and the Puente Viejo below, and the Plaza de Toros with its double arcade.

Late afternoon, when the gorge walls take colour and the drop stops reading as a flat shadow. The old lanes behind the bridge hold up at midday because they are narrow and shaded. Ronda is a coach town: they arrive late morning and leave mid-afternoon, so before ten and after five it is a far emptier place. Summer afternoons are hot and exposed.

All the good ones are free and public. The Mirador de Aldehuela beside the bridge is the quickest but small and busy at midday. The Jardines de Cuenca opposite give the bridge whole, and the balcony of the Alameda del Tajo looks over open country. The path down into the gorge yields the classic low angle but is steep, loose and unrailed in places — flat shoes.

It depends on the photographer. Many studio photographers run their own space and include it in the session fee — check the package description on their profile. Others book a third-party studio per session and pass the cost through (typically €40–€100 depending on city and studio size). Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.
